AMEX
Apart from the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) used to be the second largest stock exchange in the United States, located near Wall Street in New York, and is now the third largest stock exchange in the country. The general business model of the American Stock Exchange is similar to that of the New York Stock Exchange. However, the difference is that the American Stock Exchange is the only exchange that can simultaneously trade stocks, options, and derivatives, and is also the only exchange that focuses on small and medium-sized companies that are easily overlooked and provides a range of services to increase their attention. The US Stock Exchange helps small and medium-sized listed companies enhance their management and shareholder value by forming strategic partnerships, and ensures a fair and orderly market trading environment for all listed companies.
