What is the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Connect (Zhonghua Connect)?

The Shanghai Shenzhen Stock Connect, also known as China Connect in Hong Kong and A-share Connect in China, is a collaborative program between the Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen stock exchanges. It allows international and mainland investors to trade securities in each other's markets through the trading and settlement systems of local exchanges.
Including the Shanghai Hong Kong Stock Connect (Shanghai Stock Connect+Hong Kong Stock Connect) and the Shenzhen Hong Kong Stock Connect (Shenzhen Stock Connect+Hong Kong Stock Connect).
Northbound trading refers to the Shanghai Stock Connect and Shenzhen Stock Connect, while southbound trading refers to the Hong Kong Stock Connect.
